Jake

I don’t get to post a lot of pictures of Jake on the blog. He is at school all day and isn’t really into getting his picture taken to much these days. Too cool for mom to photograph I guess.:(

But this morning before school he looked to cute and I wanted to document his life right now so I wouldn’t take no for an answer.

The first few he wouldn’t smile but after a min. he warmed up. I got one smile out of him and that was all I needed to be happy.

So here is a list of “whats new” for Jake:

  • He is currently broken and this makes me so sad. He fell skiing last weekend and broke his humerus just below his shoulder. They didn’t cast him. I guess the location is hard to cast? I don’t know. I do know I would have felt better with a cast to protect his arm.
  • Due to the broken arm he can’t do much. No activity for 6 weeks. He was pretty much ok when they told him that. Then they put the sling on him and he started crying. The nurse asked him if his arm hurt. He said no, it was just that he couldn’t play the wii with the sling on. LOL
  • He loves his video games. ALL OF THEM. Thankfully he can take off the sling when sitting on the couch so he can play them.
  • He is becoming a very good reader. He is good at reading out loud as well. He loves to go to the library to check out books. His favorite author right now is Mo Willems who writes the Pigeon books and the Elephant and the Piggie Series. He laughs so hard at these books. Bedtime reading is so much fun these days.
  • He is an excellent big brother (when he wants to be!) ;)  He will introduce Tess to his school friends and he always has his arm around her shoulder when we are in his class. (since he broke his arm, we take him into his class and pick him up from his class everyday, so he gets to “show her around” twice daily.) It is adorable.
  • He is my early riser. Some mornings he comes in our room before 6am, ready to start the day. If you ask him why he is up so early, he will inform you very seriously that he is up so he can see his dad before work.
  • He still goes to bed at night without any trouble. After the bedtime routine, he climbs in his bed, says goodnight and that is it. Lights out and we don’t hear from him again till morning. (So UNLIKE his sister!)
  • He LOVES to dance. He does break dancing in the foyer when I put his hip hop songs on iTunes in the library. He is very serious about it too! It is so funny to watch.
  • He loves to wink at you. It is his silent little way of saying “I love you!”.
  • He loves cereal for breakfast. I know that isn’t too interesting, but for this cereal hater, it is fascinating. LOL
  • He walks around the house all the time humming the Mario Bros. video game song in its entirety. Completely in tune I might add. He can also do Indiana Jones and Star Wars as well.
  • He is a fantastic whistler and he has a crisp loud snap! LOL He does both all the time.
  • He loves to record his voice and take pictures with his DSi. The playback mix mode makes hilarious songs!
  • He is my mammas boy and I love him dearly!

Be Mine!

I had a crazy day today.

I wanted to come home and go to bed.

But for some reason the kids wanted me to take their pictures.

Really! You heard that right!

Might have something to do with me saying they could play my iTouch  if and when they cooperated for valentines day pictures.

I am soooo not above bribbery! LOL

So I decided since they were ready I better be too. I got them dressed in their outfits, did Tess’ hair and got the studio set up.

We had fun and they did great! I can’t believe it! AND…. I LOVE the pics!

After I uploaded them I wished I had thought to cut out some paper hearts to spread out on the floor or something a little more “Valentine-y”. But nonetheless, I love them and I am so excited to order out Valentines Bookmarks for the kids to hand out! So much fun! Might even need a canvas of these using my new Mr. Big Canvas template! Yay!

More info about my crazy day tomorrow! Hope you enjoy!

Happy First Birthday Milo!

I had the pleasure of photographing little Milo today for his first birthday! What a CUTIE!!!

He was so fun and he smiled for me too! He LOVED his cake as well!  As soon as we set the cake down he had both hands in it.  He ate almost the entire cake which is pretty impressive for such a little guy!

Thanks to mom, dad, nana and grandpa for coming and spending the afternoon with me! It was wonderful to see you all again! Hope you love them Angie! Hugs!

Check out the new slide show I can make with my BRAND NEW blog software!!! Yay! First one!

The Worlds Largest Snow Cone! (Really!)

This past weekend the whole fam went to the Plymouth Ice Festival. We saw ice sculptures and LOTS of people. We got cotton candy too! YUM!

Mike had heard that they were trying to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest snow cone in the world so we got a little map and decided to check it out.

The map was VERY deceiving! We probably walked a good mile and a half down traffic filled roads in freezing cold winter weather to get the spot. Luckily the kids were toasty warm in the double jogger stroller so they didn’t mind.  In fact Tess was so comfy she fell asleep on the walk there. LOL

When we got there they had broken the world record at 7514 lbs! The whole top of the snow cone had already been eaten by visitors so it didn’t really resemble a snow cone anymore but Jake thought it was so cool.

They were scooping snow cones from buckets they had removed from the giant cone for people to eat (had to clarify that people were not just taking big bites out of a giant snow cone! LOL).  It was all you could eat for a one dollar donation to charity. So of course we each had to get one!

Tess never woke up though and my mom carried her snow cone the entire 1.5 miles back to town where we ended up pitching what was left after nibbling the whole way back.;)  Tess woke up just as we got to the car to go home. Go figure!

Also, check out the new gallery on the blog! You might notice some changes around here over the next couple weeks. Hope you all like them!

Wow what a great day!

I was lucky enough to get to spend time with two wonderful client families today!

Lucky because both of my little models were absolutely perfect and because we had so much fun!

I have been editing all evening! There are so many good shots from both sessions that it took me a lot longer to get through them all, but I did!

Whew!

So I will stop mumbling now and let you guys see your teasers!

I hope you like them! I had a wonderful day and it was great to see you all! Big kisses and hugs to the little ones!

Just playin’ around in the studio this morning!

Tess and I had a fun morning today. We played hair salon and I did her hair. I was surprised that she sat still the entire time while I three barreled her whole head.

I love her hair all wavy and it totally fits her spunky personality. We had a good time!

Of course I had to take some pictures of her looking all adorable!

Thought I would share a couple of my favorites!

In case you were wondering, Jake will be getting some studio time this weekend so we can get his Valentines ordered so watch for a post with his cute face soon!!!!

Meet Little Luke

I had a wonderful session this morning with this little sweetie! One of the happiest babies I have ever photographed.

He seemed to like me too which is a big plus!

He laughed at me and smiled and did everything I wanted without a single fuss. It was almost too good to be true! But the pictures are proof! Check out this little man!

Thanks so much for spending your morning with me! It was wonderful to meet you and I look forward to seeing you again soon!

Miss Chloe!

Miss Chloe is the adorable daughter of my fabulous hair stylist. She goes to school with Jake and the kids see her up and the salon when they get their hair cut. They adore her almost as much as I do. (OK, maybe more!)

I have been begging her mom to let me photograph her for months so last week when I took Tess in for a hair cut I convinced her it was time.

SO

GLAD

SHE

AGREED!!!!!

We had so much fun.

Tess even threw on a coordinating outfit and hopped in a couple pictures. They were so cute!

I am pretty much obsessed with all of them but here are my faves!

Thanks Chloe for being the perfect model! Hugs!
